The educational and sports complex is named after Russian gymnast Svetlana Khorkina, a two-time Olympic champion in the uneven bars, a nine-time world champion, and a 13-time European champion, who is also a graduate of Belgorod State University.

The educational and sports complex provides all the necessary conditions for a full range of physical education classes for students from all of the university's institutes, as well as for training sessions and sports competitions at various levels.

The swimming pool (1,682 sq. m.) has eight 50-meter lanes, diving boards (10, 7, 5, and 3 meters), two 1-meter and two 3-meter doubles springboards. The water temperature is 28-29 degrees Celsius. The pool depth ranges from 2 to 6 meters. Two saunas and a hydrotherapy complex are located on the ground floor.
The pool hosts physical education classes for students, as well as swimming lessons, recreational swimming, and aqua aerobics.
The track and field arena with artificial turf (4,186 sq. m.): three 200-meter lanes, eight 60-meter lanes, long jump, triple jump, high jump, pole vault, and a climbing and ropes course. Two curtains with electric lifts have been installed, with the help of which the arena can be transformed into three sports halls measuring 18x36 meters for volleyball, basketball, and mini-football classes.
A multi-purpose gym measuring 45 x 27 meters is equipped with all the necessary certified equipment and facilities for sports such as volleyball, basketball, mini-football, handball, and laser tag.
The Artistic Gymnastics Center includes a competition hall (42 x 22 meters) and a warm-up hall (35 x 25 meters), equipped with everything necessary for training and competitions in all disciplines of women's and men's artistic gymnastics.
The gyms (approximately 300 square meters, 108 square meters, and 65 square meters) are equipped with modern strength training equipment, cardio equipment, free weights (barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells), and other equipment, providing a comprehensive training experience for athletes of all levels.

Phygital sports are one of the most promising fields today. The combination of virtual reality and dynamic disciplines promotes the comprehensive development of young people. In addition to physical fitness, they develop teamwork skills, strategic thinking, and engineering thinking.

The Equestrian School is located on over 6 hectares of land near the city center. It features two modern stables for 20 horses, as well as all the necessary facilities and premises to support the animals and the operation of the Equestrian School.
The school houses horses of various breeds: Trakehner, Hanoverian, Terek, Thoroughbred, Arabian, Orlov, Russian Trotter, Ukrainian, Akhal-Teke, Russian Riding, and crossbred.
Project of Centre of cultural leisure
The Equestrian School offers classes not only for students and staff but also for city residents. Enrollment is open throughout the year. The Equestrian School offers horsemanship training and also trains highly rated equestrian athletes.
The school hosts festive and sporting events, regional competitions, excursions, and horseback riding.

The All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Complex "Ready for Labor and Defense" (RLD) is the programmatic and regulatory framework for physical education of the population. It provides preparation for and actual performance by various age groups (from 6 to 70 years and older) of standards across three difficulty levels, corresponding to gold, silver, and bronze medals. Control tests are divided into mandatory and optional. Mandatory tests are aimed at determining the level of development of speed, endurance, strength, and flexibility. Optional tests are aimed at determining the level of development of speed and strength, coordination, and mastery of applied skills.
The university's sports grounds host GTO multi-event competitions for the Student Spartakiad and the Faculty and Staff Spartakiad of BelSU.
