Director of the Institute, Professor Victoria Tarabaeva and the participants of the Russian skills competition in Pedagogy
Pedagogical institute of the National Research University «BelSU» was founded 01.09.2013, since 01.09.2014 the faculty of psychology has been a part of Pedagogical institute.
The process of training of qualified specialists, bachelors and masters for implementation of professional and pedagogical activity according to modern requirements of the society and tendencies of development of an education system of the country and region is the main task of pedagogical Institute.
Skilled graduates of pedagogical Institute are intended to take the leading teachers’ positions in the establishments of the general and additional education, be capable of creation and organization of alternative forms of preschool, primary and secondary school education and be ready to solve problems of these education levels in the region.
The number of students is over 5 500 on all types of education. Over 2500 of them are on full-time education, and over 2900 are on part-time education.
There are students from Angola, Armenia, Afghanistan, Belarus, Burundi, Columbia, Ecuador, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Indonesia, Jordan, Iraq, Iran, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lebanon, Mongolia, Palestine, Serbia, Syria, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine.
The curricula for full-time students are 4 and 5 years, for part-time students 5 and 6 years. Post-graduate courses take 2 – 2,5 years.
In 2017, with the participation of the rector of the University, «STUDiA» center for students’ initiatives was opened for the productive work of the members of the student councils of the pedagogical Institute with the possibility of on-line broadcasting and communication with interlocutors from other regions and cities, participants in webinars, forums and other events, including exchange of experience with other HEIs from all over Russia and near abroad.
