A traditional conference of employees and students’ body took place at BelSU.
325 representatives took part in the annual conference of employees and students’ body. The most important themes of the conference were results if university’s work in 2014-2015 academic year and changes in BelSU’s inner policy.
At the beginning of his speech, The Principal of BelSU Prof. Oleg Polukhin especially pointed that university’s staff made a great work last year and strengthened the university’s positions in Russian and International scientific and educational space.
“The most important ratings for us are an annual Ministry of Education’s monitoring. We redeemed all seven objectives of the monitoring, and improved university’s positions in science, international cooperation and finance”, – said Oleg Polukhin.
The results of enrollment campaign showed that the educational programs of BelSU are highly sought by applicants. According to these results, the number of students enrolled at 2015 is more than 6000, which are 700 people more than the last year.
The principal also mentioned that the university needs to upscale efforts in the development of academic mobility and development of international connections. The university achieved high results in this direction. The number of foreign students increased by 60%, it is approximately 2000 students. The number of BelSU students, who take semester-long courses at international universities is also increased.
In the new academic year, BelSU alumni would receive a Diploma Supplement; – it will be a proof of qualification for international universities and employers.
All international cooperation in university corresponds to the BelSU Foreign Language Education Program. According to this program, the Foreign Language Education Council and Foreign Language Education and academic mobility Centre were created in 2014-2015 Academic Year. The Summer Language School has also continued its work.
At the end of the report, The Principal told about the aims of cultural and pedagogic work, emphasizing on the unity of education and upbringing.
