Due to development of cooperation between foreign higher education institutions, the teachers of BelSU Institute of Cross-cultural communication and International relations have visited two universities of France – Sophia Antipolis and University of Poitiers.
Delegation of BelSU, which was leaded by the director of BelSU Institute of Cross-cultural communication and International relations, Doctor of Philology, professor Olga Prokhorova, has also included deputy director for scientific work and international activity of the Institute, professor Gérôme Bagana, the head of English philology and cross-cultural communication Department, Candidate of Philology, the associate professor, Vladimir Pugach and the head of department Master’s, Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies Development Department Irina Shumakova.
At university of the city of Poitiers, the delegation has met the vice principal for international relations madam Christine Fernández and her deputy, madam Christine Robyushon. During the visit, partners have discussed possibilities of further cooperation. The parties have agreed that next academic year Poitiers university will accept five students of Institute for training. Besides, partners have begun to develop double diploma program for masters and graduate students. Implementation of this program would became the next academic year. The management of university of Poitiers has also expressed readiness to accept teachers of the Institute for training.
The delegation has also visited the Nice Sophia Antipolis city university. The teachers have met the vice rector for international relations of university, professor Jean Martin Christof. During the meeting they have discussed a question of coeducation according to the PhD programs, and also implementation of double diplomas program for Masters and Bachelors.
The management of partner higher education institutions of the city of Poitiers and city of Nice of Sophia Antipolis have expressed readiness for further cooperation. Moreover, both higher education institutions have expressed readiness for creation of joint linguistics laboratory.
