The V International summer language school of BelSU has finished the work
For the spring and summer period 140 more students increased level of proficiency in foreign languages. This year the International summer language school has offered participants three arrivals – in May, July and August. The School has taken place at the educational and healthcare complex Nezhegol. Besides English, German and Russian Spanish has been included this year. The training was based on specially developed program of preparation for the international examinations, which includes 72 hours of study.
"We have celebrated the first small anniversary – 5 years of hard, fascinating and fruitful work. Our project allows students to plunge completely in language environment and also to meet and communicate with native speakers. This year we have invited talented teachers of the leading foreign higher education institutions: Michael Binyon, Valentin Doborovich, James Brankin, Ian Turner, Omar Contreras and Niels Bikenbakh" – Larisa Tsurikova, the director of BelSU Center of foreign-language education and the academic mobility said.
An important component of school is not only training, but also leisure time. The international team of volunteers among whom there are students from Russia, Serbia, Germany and the CIS countries worked on competitions, games, theatrical performances, sports events and other types of out-of-class work. Language events also promote positive motivation and serve as additional language practice of students.
The ceremony of closing of the V BelSU International language summer school was attended by guests of honor: vice rector for study and informatization Alexander Mamatov; vice rector for the international cooperation Vladislav Kuchmisty; director of BelSU Institute of Cross-Cultural Communication and International Relations Olga Prokhorova; dean of BelSU Foreign Languages Department Alexey Kolesnikov. They have thanked participants and organizers, have highly appreciated importance of the thir work and have noted the need of strengthening international cooperation and the relations between the countries for the educational sphere.
