Throughout two days, the participants of the 12th International Scientific and Practical Conference on Current Problems of Development of Economy, Financial and Credit Systems discussed key components of the country’s economy and related issues.
Belgorod State University became the venue for the XII International Scientific and Practical Conference “Current Problems of Development of Economy, Financial and Credit Systems”. The moderator of the plenary session was Oksana Vaganova, Doctor of Economics, Head of the Department of Innovative Economy and Finance of the BelSU Institute of Economics and Management.
Igor Polevoy, Acting Vice-Rector for Economy and Finance of Belgorod State University, greeted the participants the audience on behalf of the Rector of Belgorod State University Evgeniya Karlovskaya. He said that the exchange of economic knowledge and the use of new strategies and tools were always beneficial and developmental. Igor Polevoy also spoke on how BelSU put into effect the Programmes of Priority-2030 and the world-class research&education centre for “Innovative Solutions for the Agro-Industrial Complex”.
‘The university participates and takes highest positions in many rankings. At this difficult time, we still have many students and we enrol as many applicants. It means that the University is much-in-demand among young people and scientists,’ commented Igor Polevoy.
In his welcoming speech, Vladislav Gridchin, Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of the Bank of Russia for the Central Federal District, wished the conference participants fruitful work, rewarding exchange of experience and hoped they would find solutions for complex issues.
‘In the past few years, the Russian economy has faced a number of unprecedented challenges. Therefore, it is important to achieve technological independence and review the key components of the country's economy. That requires the investment of large resources, which can be provided by internal sources,’ emphasized the speaker.
At the plenary session, the participants presented reports on various topics. Natalia Kamenskaya, Head of the Department for Regulation of Non-State Pension Funds of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, spoke about the long-term savings program and how it could interest the citizens. The Managing Director for Investments of Belgorod regional front office of the VTB Bank Galina Aulova developed the topic of iindividual investment accounts and innovations of 2024. Head of the Centre for Strategic Analysis of the Department of Banking Regulation and Analytics of the Bank of Russia Vyacheslav Bunkov spoke about stimulating banking regulation for projects for technological sovereignty and about structural adaptation of the economy. The comprehensive coverage of economic issues evoked a lively response from the audience. The speakers also answered questions and explained certain points of their reports.
