BelSU Unveils State-of-the-Art Training Facility for Future Professionals

A significant milestone has been achieved at the Institute of Engineering and Digital Technologies at Belgorod National Research University (BelSU) with the opening of a cutting-edge training facility designed for the practical education of next-generation specialists. This modern student space integrates three key areas of expertise that meet the pressing demands of the digital economy and high-tech industry.

The student laboratory within the Department of Information and Telecommunication Systems will serve as a hub for applied research in telecommunications. Here, students will engage in real-world projects, collaborating with BelSU’s partner companies to tackle industrial challenges and develop sought-after engineering skills.

Additionally, the advanced computing lab dedicated to artificial intelligence is equipped with high-performance GPUs and a robust hardware and software system. This facility will enable students to study, experiment, and conduct research in artificial intelligence and machine learning, allowing them to work with big data, train neural networks, and develop data science projects.

Furthermore, the “Unmanned Systems” student design bureau offers a comprehensive development cycle, encompassing everything from mechanical design to programming complex control, navigation, and computer vision algorithms. This unique environment fosters the creation of prototypes and complete solutions in robotics and autonomous vehicles.

As Alexander Zhikharev, Director of the BelSU Institute of Engineering and Digital Technologies, stated, the integration of these three areas within a single space creates a synergistic effect.
