Concert hall of Dormitory 4 hosted the Closing ceremony of Spartakiad for national communities of BelSU.
Vice Rector for Cultural and Educational Affairs Svetlana Ostrikova greeted the contestants and underlined that the University paid “considerable attention to physical training and sports development and promotion of healthy lifestyle.”
The accuracy of her statement was proved by the numerousness of students who participated in the contests and their impressive results in swimming, track and field athletics, five-a-side, volleyball, ping-pong, streetball, chess, etc.
The Spartakiad sports festival united students from Africa, Latin America, Arab countries, Turkey, China, India, Vietnam and Russia.
In the team score, the winners are the Vietnam community, runners-up are students from Africa, and Russian community finished up in third place. The contestants received their prizes from Alexander Ivanov, international grandmaster and Director of the BelSU Sports Club.
