General Director of FASIE, Sergey Polyakov, learned more about developments of BelSU innovative enterprises.
During his visit to the Belgorod region, Sergey Polyakov inspected the BelSU TechnoPark where, among others, several FASIE-financed start-ups are realized. Eight of them have already manufactured their pilot pieces, using know-how’s created by BelSU scientists. The next step for them to take is to commercialize the results which their creators doubtlessly consider as unique and able to meet competition.
Smaller innovative enterprises (SIEs) are ready to make a statement in production of materials and items of medical use including Dentistry, Children's Orthopaedics, and Reproductive Medicine. One of the University’s SIEs produces unique portable devices (port-systems) for administration of medicine in the treatment of critically ill patients, and those units are superior to imported ones.
Besides, sample LED illumination devices, lighting fixtures, as well as thermoelectric generators ready to go into production were presented in TechnoPark.
Visiting the BelSU TechnoPark enterprises and laboratories, Sergey Polyakov spoke in appreciation of those SIEs, which managed to seal big deals for the supply of their products soon after the incubation period. For instance, having received financial support according to the FASIE’s “Start” programme, the smaller innovative Research and Production Enterprise “BelSU Energy and Informational technologies” essentially developed the technology for producing Ground-penetrating radars (GPR or georadars) they had proposed to the Fund, and a year later secured a12 million roubles contract to produce them.
