Participants of BelSU III International Language School met Michael Binyon, observer of British newspaper "The Times".
The meeting was opened by the teacher of "Interlingua" language school Valentin Doborovich. Mr. Binyon told the students about his journalistic career. He has paid special attention to the philosophy of journalism and noted that real journalist should give much time and strength to analytical work, and remember about responsibility and common sense.
At the end of the meeting he answered students' questions. They were interested with various topics: Mr. Binyon's opinion on the future of print media, causes of various military conflicts and distinctions between Russian and British life style. During the month, Mr. Binyon would teach them language as a native speaker with perfect Queen's English.
Eleven teachers take part in International Summer Language School. Five of them are teachers from BelSU, three of them are English-speaking, and another three are teachers from Germany.
Note: Michael Binyon is an alumnus of Cambridge. In 1968 he has begun his journalistic career in "The Times". He worked in Amman and Cairo, highlighting the arabian-Israeli wars. In 1978 he became the head of Moscow department of"The Times". He published a book “Life in Russia” about his work in USSR. He has many various journalistic awards.
