Please accept my sincere congratulations on the remarkable date - the 140th anniversary of the Belgorod State University foundation!

Remarkable anniversary of the university is a large-scale event for our region. History of Belgorod Teachers Institute began in 1876. Its chronicle, as the fate of the whole country, is full of difficult trials. The belief in the inevitable triumph of humanism and intelligence, dedication and tireless creative work of the teaching staff always helped to overcome them. Over the years BelSU has formed a human and scientific potential, has taken a worthy place among the leading universities of Russia. Today it is an outpost of high school in the region, the holder the honorary status of the National Research University.

We appreciate the activities of management and staff of BelSU. Competence, faithful service to science and education, pedagogical talent, commitment to innovation have allowed you to establish the best academic traditions of Belgorod Region. University actively cooperates with scientific institutions in Europe, Asia and the USA.

University graduates form a scientific, educational, political, economic and cultural elite of the region. I highly appreciate the harmonious relationships, which were established between the management of BelSU and regional authorities. I am confident in further development of fruitful cooperation for the benefit of our homeland – Belgorod Region.
