BelSU celebrate the day of the meeting with foreign guests and university partners with the opening of the Center for Intercultural Communication
The center of intercultural communication is intended to be a unifying element for the multi-national student body of the university.
"The center opened today is a creative and communicative platform on which all the conditions for realization of creative potential of students, their rapid adaptation to the new linguistic and socio-cultural environment, for cultural and educational events, discussions, informal communication between representatives of different cultures were created"- declared the BelSU Rector professor Oleg Polukhin.
The grand opening was attended by representatives of partner universities, research centers from Germany, the Netherlands, Ireland, Poland, Italy, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Bulgaria, Moldova, Greece, China, and Tajikistan, as well as foreign BelSU students. After cutting the red ribbon and eating the traditional loaf - a symbol of hospitality - guests congratulated the University with a glorious jubilee and presented gifts for the Rector.
"I am very happy to be present at the opening of this center," - said the executive director of the Cultural Institute of Emerald Mauro Biondi. - "It is a concrete symbol of how international education can be, what could be the results of international education and academic mobility".
International students, for which the BelSU has long been a second home, also took the floor and thanked the university administration for the present and noting the importance of the cultural center for multinational student community.
During the official part partners from eight foreign universities have signed agreements and protocols on cooperation between universities with Belgorod State University.
