The elections of the rector of BelSU which will take place till April 22, 2018 is approved at the meeting of BelSU academic council
The procedure of elections of the rector for the decision of the academic council of higher education institution begins on December 21, 2017. Members of the academic council have also approved the Provision on elections of the rector and the structure of the commission on elections.
According to the Charter of BelSU the rector of the university is elected for a period of up to 5 years from among the candidates who have undergone certification in accordance with the established procedure. Elections are held on an alternative basis by a ballot at a conference of workers and students with the subsequent approval by the founder – the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
Candidates aged up to 65 years from among the most trained and authoritative experts whose knowledge and skill level conform to qualification requirements to the rector's position, can be proposed to a rector’s position". In particular, the candidate has to have higher education and additional professional education in the field of the public and municipal administration, human resource management, project management, management and economy; academic degree and academic status, experience of scientific or scientific and pedagogical work for not less than 5 years.
All candidates will have to submit the program reflecting national strategy in education in the Russian Federation in relation to perspective development of the university.
Date of the Conference on elections of the rector of BelSU is appointed the academic council of BelSU after adoption by Certifying commission of the decision on candidates and is coordinated with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
