Professor Ilya Isayev, of the Pedagogical Institutes Department of Pedagogy, spoke at a professional conference on the problems of training teachers and teaching in modern conditions.
As a member of the Association of Leading Universities of Russia (AVUR), BSNRU took part in a professional conference hosted by Saint Petersburg State University on the problems of teacher training under modern conditions. The conference discussed the modernisation of pedagogical education, the role of classical universities in the training of pedagogical personnel, the development and implementation of new professional standards, and educational programs in the expanding group of subjects in 'Educational and Pedagogical Sciences'. Specifically, these new standards take the modular design of educational programs into account, as well as the students' mastery of the latest technology, and the study of Russian language as an indispensable component in the training of future specialists.
At the plenary session of the conference, Professor Isayev gave a report on the experience of Belgorod State National Research University in training teachers and developing the social and pedagogical space of the region. When set against global trends in university teacher training, our University looks up-to-date and forward thinking.
