BNRU is hosting the 'Pegas-2018' Project Management Summer School involving students from Russia and further afield
Pegas-2018 is jointly run by BNRU and the CIS Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Fund. The School is in its 7th year, and takes place at the University's Nezhegol Campus in the countryside near the small town of Shebekino. Alongside our students, this year we were pleased to welcome students from the Tajik State Medical University in Tajikistan, and the University of Aruba from the Dutch Kingdom of Aruba. The School will involve students presenting their social, technological and commercial projects, and taking part in master classes in management and professional business skills. Dr Alexander Mamatov, Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs welcomed the participants, saying,
“This is the 7th year of the Summer School, and each year has been better than the last. The ever increasing participation is evidence of the increasing interest in its results.”
Professor Victor Zakharov, Director of the Institute of Management, wished the students success, and hoped that they would achieve what they set out to achieve. The opening ceremony was rounded off with songs from the '31st Region' choir, and a performance by the 'Maridans' dance ensemble.
On the first day, the students were given information about the cultural and educational program ahead, took an internet challenge, and a master class on system marketing and the implementation of investment projects. The latter was taught by Konstantin Teterin, CEO of the 'Development' consultancy. He brought the students up to speed on matters relating to the stock market, and talked about his most profitable investments. Mr Teterin then answered all the questions put to him. A busy day was rounded off with a party to remember.
