On the Day of Solidarity in the Fight against Terrorism, the University presented the composition ‘An Interrupted Lesson’, dedicated to the victims of the terrible tragedy 14 years ago
Vice-rector for cultural and educational activities Svetlana Ostrikova opened the event, recalling the tragedy that occurred in the recent past of the country.
“Unfortunately, the third of September can not be called a good day, because on this day, 14 years ago, there was a monstrous crime. Children, their parents, teachers were in the hands of terrorists - they became hostages. Today we are here to pay tribute to the victims of terror. We must be vigilant, we must build our lives from the perspective of peace, friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance. This is what will prevent and stop terrorism”.
During the minute of silence, the participants commemorated the victims of the Beslan tragedy.
As a sign of eternal memory of the victims, the participants released white balloons into the sky as a symbol of a bright child's soul.
