An open day for all those interested in the legal profession will be hosted by Belgorod State University's Law Institute at 11am on Saturday 9th February
The event will appeal to anyone connected with law enforcement or legal work, or interested in a career. There will be classes including 'Spotting Forged Documents and Banknotes', with explanations of methods used by forgers and detectives, 'Fingerprints – the Electronic Scanner of the Last Century', and 'Photofits'. There will be a 'Detective Adventure Mystery' for the younger (and older) visitors, and a tour around the University's Criminology Museum.
The day has been organised by the Forensic Science and Criminology Department as a way to underline the broad panoply of subjects that coalesce into modern detection methods. Aside from a fundamental grasp of the sciences, a student needs to understand law, politics and police methods. All of these disciplines are taught on this course, which will give successful students a path to even higher qualifications.
