A group of 4th and 5th year students went to Herne for a course on teaching to German standards. The students were from the Pedagogical Institute at Belgorod State University
The group was led by Dr Larisa Voronina, who explained the value of such an exercise.
“The knowledge gained in practice in kindergarten, elementary school, and general educational, which includes a vocational training system, allows us to better understand the features of pre-school and school education in Germany. It allows us to better assess the possibility of adapting their best practices into the educational process in our schools.”
The group took advantage of their down time, attending a Mayor's Reception, and visiting the nearby cities of Bonn, Dusseldorf, Cologne, Munster, and Moers. The trip was an example of the importance Belgorod State University places on giving its students hands-on experience, and the efforts it makes to give our best students every advantage, regardless of their background.
