The Association of International Students of Russia and the Financial University under the Government of Russian Federation held an online conference on the issues related to international students residence and adaptation in the pandemic conditions
During the conference the problems with organizing admission, educational and residence of international students in Russia were discussed. BelSU experience of adaptation and education management in the urgently required transition to distance learning shared Vladislav Kuchmistiy, the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, the Deputy Head of BelSU Preparatory Faculty. He told about the extensive university’s infrastructure that enable distance learning on a very good level as well as the regular work of lecturers and academic advisors, activities by student groups and effective work of BelSU International Student Communities.
According to Vladislav Kuchmistiy there 333 international students trained at the Preparatory Faculty today including 305 students who stay in their native countries and study on distance. Every day they attend practical classed, do the homework and attend the traditional faculty events via videoconferencing. The Vice-Rector for International Cooperation informed about the undergoing transformation of the academic advising system into the tutorship system that assumes responsibility to organize extra-curricular work with the Faculty trainees.
