Belgorod State University leading among regional universities of the Central Federal District in the International University Ranking “Three University’s Missions”

This year the number of the involved universities from 97 countries has grown from 1500 to 1650 making the ranking the most representative in the world. Russia is one of the top three countries in the number of universities represented in the ranking (the number of participating universities increased from 101 to 112) giving way only to the United States and China.

While presenting the results of the Moscow International Ranking of Universities “Three University’ Missions”, Victor Sadovnichy, the Rector of Lomonosov Moscow State University, specifically mentioned the regional leaders in the federal districts. Belgorod State University has become the winner among higher educational institutions of the Central Federal District, entering the 1001-1100 interval group of the world ranking and the 39-46 interval group among 112 Russian higher educational institutions.

This year Russia's leading universities surpassed the average global level in terms of the “share of international students” and improved their positions in online courses and global citations. Russian universities also remain unchallenged leaders in the Olympics movement.

There are still some weak points of the Russian universities consisting of the global publications impact, funds and the Internet communications.
