Hanze University of Applied Sciences (Groningen, the Netherlands) hosted a conference of participants of Erasmus+ research and education project “Building Capacity towards Health and Well-being through Social Innovation”
The international project brought together experts from different countries to develop innovative solutions. The team from Belgorod State University and the project partner, the Centre for Adaptive Sports and Physical Culture in Belgorod Region, presented their concept for development of the regional practitioners community for the expert evaluation. Colleagues from 9 universities and 6 NGOs from Russia, the Netherlands, Finland and other countries discussed the drafts of new educational modules for professional training and continued education of specialists in social work and adaptive physical education.
During the meetings and workshops the participants developed requirements for the project outcomes for different population groups, taking into account regional specificities. A programme of joint activities to promote active longevity was also adopted for implementation.
One of the key points of the visit was discussion of project management and financial aspects of implementation, including the purchase of specific equipment for training future social work specialists by each participating university.
The first year of the project has resulted in opening of a creativity space at BelSU Institute of Social Sciences and Mass Communications of – a specialised social innovation laboratory “Makerspace” which will become a key platform for interaction as part of developing the regional practitioners community in social sphere.
