A series of events "Over a cup of tea" aimed at adaptation and integration into the educational environment of foreign students has opened at the Preparatory Faculty of the University.
In the coming days, more than 50 students from 20 countries of the Preparatory Faculty will start studying in the offline format. For their comfortable adaptation and entry into the educational process, representatives of the Preparatory Faculty, the International Information Center and the Primary Trade Union Organization of the University initiated a series of informal meetings "Over a cup of tea".
As the director of the international Information Center Anna Rogova noted, such meetings are aimed at uniting junior students with senior students and help students of the Preparatory Faculty to join a large international student family, get to know each other and the university staff supporting for the learning process, overcome the psychological barrier and feel at home in a foreign country.
In the evening of acquaintances, the chairman of the Trade Union Committee Valery Timofeev performed touching songs. The tutors told the participants about the faculty traditions and treated them to fragrant tea with cookies and sweets.
“A wonderful evening in a relaxed atmosphere, communication and music, which always brings together, will be the key to mutual understanding and friendship. The meetings "Over a cup of tea" will continue and become a new tradition of preparatory faculty,” – said Elena Nazarenko, deputy head of the Preparatory Faculty.
