Innovations developed at BelSU presented at the interregional exhibitions at Belekspotsentr

Belekspotsentr hosted interregional specialised exhibitions “Medicine. Pharmacy”, “Dentistry”, “Beauty and Health”. Innovations and commercial products were presented by over 30 companies and higher educational institutions.

The opening ceremony was attended by Andrey Ikonnikov, the Minister of Health of Belgorod region, Vladimir Gerasimenko, the General Director of the “Belgorod Chamber of Commerce and Industry” Union, Nikolay Belousov, the Director of BeSU Medical Institute, Alexander Tsimbalistov, the Deputy Director for Projects and Innovations of Medical Institute. The honorary guests noted the importance of such events for the development of healthcare, strengthening interregional cooperation and experience exchange.

Belgorod State University has been a traditional participant of the exhibitions. This year the university’s scientific projects were presented as an interactive exposition.

The exhibitions audience was demonstrated portable devices for express diagnostics of atrial fibrillation and detection of children’s respiratory disorders. The exhibition included a stand on restoring fine motor skills of stroke patients developed by a team of young scientists headed by Vladislav Dubrova, as well as an improved version of the rehabilitation hardware and software system for a hand. The visitors were interested in the development by the researchers from the Research and Project Centre for Cognitive Neurosciences and Neurotechnologies of Belgorod State University – a robot-manipulator to serve paralysed people with disabilities, which is controlled by eye movements.

At the closing ceremony of the exhibition Andrey Ikonnikov expressed his gratitude to Medical Institute of Belgorod State University for involvement in the event preparation and holding.
