The Institute of Intercultural Communication and International Relations of Belgorod State University reported on the results of its activities in 2022 and the development prospects until 2030.
The results of educational, scientific and research, socio-cultural activities of the Institute of Intercultural Communication and International Relations were presented at the conference of the Academic Board by the Head of the Institute Olga Prokhorova. She explained that the institute had been involved in implementation of three projects within the “Prioritet-2030” programme – “Building New Educational Spaces”, “Interdisciplinary Learning”, “Development of Joint Education Programmes and Academic Mobility” at the “Leaders of the Future” platform. Another project – “Transformation of Research Ecosystem for Training Highly Qualified Personnel at Belgorod State University” is being implemented at the “Science of the XXI Century” platform.
Close cooperation with the leading universities in Russia, the CIS countries and foreign partner universities ensures good prospects for the institute’s development in education, research and international activities.
An important step will assume the expansion of the range of languages studied at Belgorod State University through introduction a Turkish language program. It is also planned to implement the project “Modernization of the System of Continuous Education in Russian as a Foreign Language at Belgorod State University (“Time to Speak Russian”)” within the “University without Borders” platform.
In the course of the discussion it was proposed to study the best practices of interdisciplinary projects implementation by humanities scientists at the leading national universities.
