For the first time, the fourth and fifth year students at the English-taught Pharmacy programme participated in the Professional Skills School.
The career guidance event was organized via videoconferencing by Irina Zhirova, the Head of the Department of Pharmacy Management and Economics of the Institute of Pharmacy, Chemistry and Biology and the department assistant Marina Shulgina. During the conference they combined theory presentations with video reels culminated by the interactive feedback in the form of testing.
The participants also watched the presentation of a draft business plan for a chemists shop as an example of transforming theory into practice. The project was prepared by Muzumbwe Konwel-Kazmiro, a student from Zambia. The presentation caused a lot of interest from the students who asked various questions.
The most active event participants were awarded with special certificates. Some students reported that they would like to hang them in a place of honour when they open their own pharmacy business.
