The 2nd All-Russian Forum “Teacher Education in A Russian Classical University”, involving the representatives of Belgorod State University, was held at the Russian Academy of Education.
Over 170 representatives from 12 regions of Russia participated in the forum, involving experts, professors, doctoral students and Master students of various fields of study. Olesya Horeva, the First Deputy Director of Pedagogical Institute and Marina Polovneva, the Deputy Director for Education and Methodology of Pedagogical Institute represented Belgorod State University.
While opening the forum, Olga Vasilyeva, the President of the Russian Academy of Education, the Member of the Russian Academy of Education, noted the importance of such events and exchange of experience between different higher education institutions of the country.
Reports were made by Dmitry Afanasyev, the Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and Elena Kazakova, the Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Education, the Director of the Institute of Pedagogy of St. Petersburg State University. The speakers pointed out that the current global situation demanded the review of classical education at a university.
During the forum the participants discussed the goals set by the President of the Russian Federation to make the transition to Specialist Degree. A session of the working group of the Federal Training and Methodological Association for Higher Teacher Education dedicate to 4.0 FGOS also took place.
The lectures of the Department of Pedagogy of the Faculty of Psychology of BelSU Institute of Pedagogy participated in the round tables, scientific discussions and section meetings.
As a result of the forum, key areas of teacher education development were outlined, as well as the proposals for development of pedagogical science and standards of the new generation.
