The representative of Belgorod State University is focused on financial literacy development.
Natalia Semyonova, a lecturer of the Department of Innovative Economics and Finance of the Institute of Economics and Management, was awarded the First Degree Certificate in “Best Pedagogical Project” nomination at the International Pedagogical Competition. Her work on “Development of Students’ Financial Literacy: Challenges and Solution”, submitted for the competition, emphasised the key role of students’ financial literacy, as well as explored modern challenges, strategies and prospects of students’ financial literacy development.
Natalia also participated in the International Pedagogical Competition in “Teacher of the Year – 2024” nomination, where she presented another work entitled as “I am A Student and I Want to Invest”, taking the first place at the end. The work presented is a study guide aimed to help students to acquire knowledge and skills related to investment, leading them to the right decisions on issues concerning their money and goals.
According to Natalia, she participated in the competition as a specialist of the Regional Centre for Financial Literacy, launched at BelSU under “Prioritet-2030” programme.
BelSU lecturer has also been a supervisor of Danil Tokarev, a student of the Institute of Economics and Management and a participant of “Economics and Management” All-Russian Student Creative Competition. The young man presented his project on “Innovative Digital Technologies in Accounting” and was awarded the first degree certificate.
