Fyodor Sobyanin, professor of the NRU BSU Department of Sports Disciplines, proposed a key term “physical culture”, elaborated according to a specific formula.
The International Dictionary of Physical Culture, prepared by the International Charter of Physical Education and Sport, was published in Serbia. It was co-authored by Fyodor Ivanovich Sobyanin, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, and Professor of the NRU BAU Department of Sports Disciplines. Fyodor Sobyanin did not only become the co-author of the dictionary. He also proposed a key term “physical culture", which was elaborated according to a specific formula and, as a result, became the title of the dictionary.
As Fyodor Ivanovich emphasizes, this terms comprises three aspects: “Social Environment Type (SET)” – the first aspect, which shows the relation of physical culture to the general culture - a type of culture in a society, “Activity Approach Interpretation (AAI)” – the second aspect includes the interpretation of the activity approach to the culture cognition, and “Specificity of Physical Culture (SPC)” – the third aspect demonstrates the specificity of physical culture.
“Physical culture is a type of society's culture, a specific morally meaningful activity aimed at the physical improvement of people,” the professor concludes.
It should be noted that many specialists from different countries of the world have been working on its compilation for several years. This association also included invited representatives of the Russian delegation, including professors of Belgorod State University. Those were the following: Igor Nikulin, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education, Candidate of pedagogic sciences, Associate Professor, Elizaveta Bogacheva, Candidate of pedagogic sciences, Associate Professor, Lyudmila Buraya, Candidate of pedagogic sciences, Associate Professor, and Oleg Beketov, President of the Interstyle Aikido Federation of Belgorod Region, Master Sportsman, European Champion, doctoral candidate.

Those were Alexandra Ten, a student of Belgorod State University, and Valeria Kokhanova, a Belgorod scholar and NRU BSU applicant.
The dictionary was published in Serbian and English. However, as the compilers assure the authors, there are plans to publish it in Russian, Chinese, Arabic, Spanish and other languages.
