Students from the Paediatrics program at Belgorod National Research University recently visited the Anatomy Workshop of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at V. Gorin Belgorod State Agrarian University.
During the excursion, participants had the opportunity to explore the collection of anatomical preparations and engage in discussions about the ethical considerations involved in their creation.
The visit was organized by Alina Balakireva, a teaching assistant at the Department of Pediatrics at the Medical Institute of Belgorod National Research University (BelSU). Accompanying the medical students were faculty members from the Department of Anatomy. The excursion was led by PhD and Associate Professor Svetlana Vorobievskaya, along with students from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
“Such excursions promote the exchange of experiences and allow us to discuss various aspects of preparation manufacturing, which helps broaden our horizons and encourages a return to fundamental sciences. They also provide an opportunity to set new goals in both scientific and practical fields. Additionally, since the ethical considerations regarding anatomical preparations of animals are more flexible, our students develop a genuine curiosity about the exhibition, where they can touch, pick up, and study the materials,” shared Alina Balakireva.
