The University has made impressive strides in the latest SuperJob rankings, showcasing the earning potential of its graduates in economics and law.
Belgorod National Research University (BelSU) now shares 18th place in the “Economic Universities” category alongside five other esteemed Russian institutions, including Nikolay Ogarev Mordovian State University, Chelyabinsk State University, Pavel Demidov Yaroslavl State University, Orenburg State University, and Nikolay Chernyshevsky Saratov State University. This marks a notable improvement from last year, when BelSU held the 19th position.
Olesya Serkina, a specialist in the BelSU Department for Monitoring and Analysing Development Programs, highlighted a significant trend: over the past decade, salaries for BelSU graduates have surged by nearly 30,000 rubbles. In 2016, when the university first entered the rankings, graduates earned an average of 57,000 roubles; by 2025, this figure is projected to rise to 85,000 roubles. Comparatively, top-tier institutions have seen even steeper increases. For instance, graduates from Higher School of Economics (HSE) earned 100,000 roubles in 2019, with projections reaching 190,000 roubles by 2025 – just behind MGIMO economists at 200,000 roubles.
In the realm of legal studies, BelSU also made its mark by securing a spot in the top 20 universities for graduate salaries in the legal field. This year, the university improved its standing to 19th place, with law graduates now averaging 82,000 roubles per month. Notably, over a third of graduates from the BelSU Law Institute choose to remain in Belgorod after completing their studies, contributing to the local workforce.
