International students at Belgorod National Research University had the opportunity to learn about the application process for studying under the Russian Government quota during a recent information session.
Each year, applications for free tuition under this quota are accepted from international citizens. The allocation of these spots involves a competitive selection process, which can be complex and multi-step. To assist students in navigating this process, the International Information Centre (IIC) of the University's Department of International Cooperation organizes annual educational sessions aimed at enhancing students' chances of successful admission to higher education.
The event, held at the Centre for Intercultural Communication, attracted students from various countries, including Afghanistan, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Iraq, Colombia, Morocco, Nigeria, Palestine, Syria, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Chad, and Ecuador. Olga Lyutova, Director of the IIC, discussed the support services available to active students at the university.
Additionally, invited expert Mohammed Hassan Naji Najajra, a long-time member of the Russian House in Palestine committee and a participant in the selection of quota candidates, offered valuable insights into what foreign citizens should consider when applying for the program. Students also learned how to access application guidance through the "Education in Russia for Foreigners" portal. Consultations are available at the International Information Centre located at 85 Pobedy St., University Buildng 12, Office 8-3, as well as in a dedicated Telegram chat.
