An expansive exhibition celebrating the innovative research and achievements of its scientists coincides with the dual observance of Postgraduate Student Day and Russian Science Day.
Belgorod National Research University (BelSU) has opened an exhibition that highlights the breadth and diversity of research conducted by its esteemed teams. Titled “The Developments and Achievements of Belgorod State University Scientists,” this exhibition coincides with Postgraduate Student Day and Russian Science Day.
During the opening ceremony, BelSU Vice-Rector for Strategic Development, Science, and Innovation, Elena Skripnikova, emphasized the university’s pivotal role in the region’s scientific landscape, particularly as it celebrates its 150th anniversary this year.
“At this exhibition, we witness our colleagues creating and implementing innovations that will shape our future. Our university holds a place of honour as one of the country’s leading institutions. Even in these challenging times, our scientists continue to set high standards, advance their research and train the next generation of professionals,” she stated.
Among the presenters showcasing their research projects were several prominent scientists. Alexandra Fedoseeva, a senior researcher at the Laboratory of Mechanical Properties of Nanostructured and Heat-Resistant Materials, introduced a new method for enhancing the heat resistance of high-chromium steels used in steam turbine blades. Ulyana Krut, head of the BelSU Natural Sciences Professional School, led her team in developing a novel feed additive for farm animals and poultry. Mikhail Trubitsyn, Associate Professor of General Chemistry at BelSU, presented a unique technology for producing reactive alpha-aluminium oxide, which has been successfully implemented by an industrial partner. Additionally, UMNIK grant recipient Vitaly Vyazmin showcased the project on a resistive air humidity sensor based on citrogypsum.
The exhibition features a diverse array of research contributions from various scholars, with several researchers presenting their work during the opening. The rich tapestry of insights and perspectives that define the exhibition as a whole. This collective participation underscores the collaborative spirit and interdisciplinary nature of the research community.
