Shortlisted among 34 leading institutes and universities, BelSU participated in the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia integrated exposition at Open Innovations International Forum, the Moscow-based international forum on innovative development.
Among about 500 forum speakers were Dmitry Medvedev, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Jyrki Katainen, Prime Minister of the Republic of Finland, Jean-Marc Ayrault, Prime Minister of the French Republic were Guests of honor at the event. Dmitry Livanov, Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, several cabinet members, outstanding business leaders, innovators and developers also attended the forum. Within its framework, the universities, institutes, scientific centers and Russian Academy of Sciences’ branches displayed high-technology pilot projects for the Russian leaders.
At the forum, BelSU introduced two developments:
- Robotic System for Territorial Aeromonitoring (RSTAM) by SMT-BelSU, ltd., a BelSU smaller innovative enterprise,
- Biocompatible materials for dentistry.
At General Chemistry Chair of BelSU, a new method of modified forms of nanoscale calcium-phosphorous compounds synthesis and medical purpose bio-composites was elaborated. The cooperation between BelSU and Experimental Plant VladMiVa, CJSC provided effective implementation of the technology based on research scientific work. Vladimir Chuev, VladMiVa Director General, spoke at the forum of main results of realization of the project on creation of biocompatible and bioactive materials of innovative and competitive advantage.
The developers insist that use of the new materials will allow to essentially increase chances of a successful treatment outcome from 70% to 90% for implant placement, and up 100% for dental treatment procedures. Increased performance of the products is ensured by the fabrication method which also allows to shorten the time needed for manipulation with materials, to improve the materials consumption rate for a procedure, and above all it halves the number of operations and procedures necessary to reach the desired therapeutic outcome.
