Within the framework of Science Day, a scientific research conference Introduction to the Structure of Government and Legal System in the United States was held at the BelSU Institute of Law. The conference was conducted in the English language under moderation of a professor of Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration Dr. Ekaterina Dogadaylo, who obtained her PhD at Oxford University.
On the same day, she presented her new book, Time and Law (Vremya i Pravo, in Russian), that talks about the results of her research into the concept of TIME, the multiple layers of its meaning and use in the sphere of law and legal science. The method of the research presented is based on axiomatic interpretation of Law as a part of standard and regulation sphere of society’s life, regarding the differentiation between the two forms of time: intrinsic, objective and conventionally measured.
According to Dr. Ekaterina Dogadaylo, images of correlations between time and law in the terms of logically and categorically strict legal notions within the framework of a unified law – theoretical perspective provide accuracy and exactness of contents for main temporal determined phenomena, constructions and relations within the system of law of the Russian Federation.
Leading scientists, best Master’s Degree and post-graduate students of the Institute of Law participated in the conference. The Director of the Institute of Law, Professor Evgeny Tonkov, and Head of the Chair of Constitutional and Municipal Law, Professor Marina Markheim, say the conference is intended to be held on regular basis, and it will be conducted in different languages – from German to Ukrainian – depending on the subject declared.
