Institute of Management: Development Prospects

Victor Zakharov, Head of the BelSU Institute of Management, announced the plans for the Institute’s future development to the University Expert Council.

According to him, the Institute has created an ample material and technological base and formed a dynamic team of the Faculty with 16 holders of Doctorate degree and 84 holders of Candidate degree.

5 administering sub-departments, 3 scientific and educational centres, 2 laboratories and Higher School of Management of the Institute provide multilevel education system and offer bachelor’s, master’s and PhD programs.

The Institute offers 8 majors, and 45 courses and qualifications in further education programs. Since 2008, MBA program is available at the BelSU Institute of Management.

For 2014 the Institute plans to grow the scope of R&D and self-sustained activities. Today they carry out the works under public tendering contracts and federal grants.

The Institute keeps working on expanding liaisons with existing partners and on developing new opportunities for international cooperation. At the present time the BelSU Institute of Management and the University of York (USA) run double degree programs in State and Municipal Management, HR-Management, and Sociology.
