Tatiana Balabanova, First Vice-Rector of Belgorod State National Research University, and Aram Simonyan, Rector of Yerevan State University, signed a cooperation agreement.
Aram Simonyan underlined that our two universities have much in common – we both support fundamental science and stick to a two-tier system of doctoral degrees. BelSU and YSU also have similar organizational structures.
Speaking of future lines of cooperation,Tatiana Balabanova stated that Program for Nanomaterials, realized at BelSU, could become another area of combined effort between the two universities.
Aram Simonyan expressed eagerness to cooperate, particularly with the BelSU Department of History and Philology, explaining that the Russian language learning programme is among priorities of Yerevan State University.
The cooperation agreement signed provides for running joint research, developing the system of continuing professional education, and student and teaching staff exchange.
