Knowledge-intensive projects of Belgorod State National Research University earned top awards at St. Petersburg Technical Fair.
BelSU participated in the International Exhibition and Congress High Technologies. Innovations. Investments (Hi-Tech Day 2014) within PTFair held in St. Petersburg, Russia from March 12 to 14. The BelSU projects were highly appreciated, and three of them became award winners. Gold medals went to the projects “Technology of producing nanoscale nanostructured coatings based on matrix of amorphous carbon, nitrogen and metal” headed by Prof. Alexander Kolpakov and “Predictive model for the risk for coronary stent restenosis” lead by Prof. Valery Nikitin and Prof. Yurii Afanasyev.
This year it was the first time Belgorod State National Research University applied for the category for “The best business-incubator, the best innovation and technological centre”. The University presented “The BelSU Innovation and Technology Centre for Structural Ceramics and Engineering Prototyping” headed by Vyacheslav Sirota. This project gained silver medal and an honorary diploma.
Summarizing the results of BelSU’s participation in Hi-Tech Day 2014, the PTFair expert jury awarded the University an honorary diploma, acknowledging the contribution to the Russian scientific-industrial complex development and an active role at St. Petersburg Technical Fair.
