The BelSU Expert Council discussed the prospects for cosmic, geo-information and information and communication technologies for effective management of territories sustainable economic and social development.
Evgeny Zhilyakov, Head of the Chair of Information and Communication Systems and Technologies, reported the advance in one of the University’s top priority areas. According to him, BelSU’s high-performance computing and communication equipment allowed the University to join four Russia’s technology platforms and supercomputer consortium of universities of Russia. It makes a great contribution to promoting competitive position of the University and improving its performance in various universities competitions to receive financial aid for research and development activities.
BelSU’s international activities are also increasing robustly – by end of 2013, the scientists and researchers who are working in University’s priority areas presented their findings at over 30 international scientific events in Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Sweden, USA, Belarus and other countries.
