The Third International Integration and Cross-Border Co-operation School session ended this week
Annual Science Session took place at BelSU, and within its framework the 3rd International Integration and Cross-Border Co-operation School was held. The School’s conference devoted to international cooperation across post-soviet space was opened by Viktor Zakharov, Director of the BelSU Management Institute. He underlined that projects, launched by young people, prove to be viable and promising.
The history of the the Slobozhanshchina Euroregion, uniting the Belgorod (Russia) and Kharkiv (Ukraine) regions, its main goals and accomplishments were resented to the participants by Aleksey Kiryuhin, Central Europe coordinator for the Association of European Border Regions’ External Borders Thematic Forum.
Over 80 scholars and scientists from cross-border regions of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus submitted their works to the conference. The research they reflect covers more than ten lines including cross-border territories development, cross-border co-operation programs management, science and education issues in the Euroregions, international integration, public diplomacy, youth policy and youth cooperation programs for CIS-countries.
Speaking to the guests and participants, Alexander Mamatov, Vice-Rector for Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Informatization, said: “Our friendly and partnership links can't be broken by anything. That’s why I suggest giving our triple effort to consider the possibilities for further cross-border co-operation.”
