At the first plenary meeting of the 5th Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, its members elected the CC Council, formed the structure of the Chamber, and marked out main lines of activity for next three years.
President of Russian non-governmental organization Opora Rossii Alexander Benchalov, was elected Secretary of the Civic Chamber. He sees his mission as bringing the dialogue between citizens and Government to a considerably higher level.
A teleconference with the Belgorod region took place within the framework of the plenary session. During the live phone-in, Georgy Fyodorov, Deputy Head of CC Ukrainian Issues Coordination group, reported on what actions were taken in the region to support refugees from Ukraine.
