According to Eva Egron-Polak, IAU Secretary-General and Executive Director, Belgorod State National Research University meets the requirements to the Member Universities set by the Association. Once the application is approved, BelSU will be listed in The International Handbook of Universities (IHU) and International Bibliographic Database on Higher Education (HEDBIB).
Belgorod State University is continuously expanding its international cooperation: to-date, our international partner universities number 140. The ones from Kazakhstan, Germany, France and the Netherlands run joint academic programmes with BelSU. In 2013, it was the first time for BelSU to enter BRICS Universities Ranking published by UK-based Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). This year, BelSU has already gained a position in the Top-200 of the QS BRICS Universities ranking, which now covers about 2.000 universities.
Along with that, BelSU retains its 37th position in the Interfax National Ranking, leading Russian diversified rating system which considers many aspects of university activity which carries out its research with due regard to the Russian Ministry of Education and Science’s standards and requirements to universities and institutes. Being 37th in national ranking, BelSU is ranked 24th for Education and 20th for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
During the year 2014, BelSU has considerably expanded its official website in the English language, thus increased its openness and promoted its positions in global webometric university rankings.
In Russian webometric ranking of website openness published on June, 19 2014 by the Expert RA rating agency, BelSU website is ranked 14th among 100 best universities of Russia.
