The order of enrollment, issued by Russian Ministry of Education and Science, provides Belgorod State National Research University with 150 state-funded places for applicants from southeast regions of the Ukraine. According to Alexander Galtsev, though this quota has already been completely filled, the University continues to accept applications, and has accepted 170 ones by now.
Young people from the Donetsk and Lugansk regions keep arriving to Belgorod to study and live here. Administration and the staff of the University provide the applicants with things they need. About twenty applicants have moved in a BelSU dormitory; necessary help and assistance are provided by the BelSU Trade Union Committee and Rector’s Office.
Student Committee and the BelSU Centre for Social Development organize health services, safety and security, and leisure activities for Ukrainian teenagers, the most of them are not of full legal age and were not accompanied by parents on arrival to Russia.
