Young and Green

Activists from Territory of Life – BelSU youth organization on Ecology – attended the Seliger’s Young Ecologists session.

This year many more sessions were organized at the International Youth Forum: Student Organizations, Young Designers and Architects, Russia’s Young Lawyers, Economy of the Future, Youth Tourism, Regions of Russia, and International Session.

The Young Ecologists session was organized to unite those who work on improving the country’s ecology and quality of living in cities, on bringing the popularity to living in eco settlements, and on quick realization of various green projects.

The students attended themed lectures, trainings and workshops conducted on Green Economy Day, Recycling Day, and Healthy Life Day. The events and activities were conducted with participation of leaders in the sphere: Sergey Bobylev, a Doctor of Economic Sciences from Lomonosov Moscow State University, Anna Sycheva, an OptiKom ecology projects manager, Denis Stark, the founder of Russian social movement against garbage and pollution, and many others.

The participant students were delighted to note that Seliger was a unique and unparalleled anywhere in the world project with its history, traditions and philosophy.
