Expanding Cooperation with People’s Republic of China

Headed by Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Igor Konstantinov, BelSU delegates visited China Agricultural University.

During this working visit, BelSU delegated had a meeting with senior managers of CAU FUTONG, Ltd., the China Agricultural University’s environment engineering research and production company.

The parties discussed issues on the universities’ cooperation in natural environment protection. The two universities have agreed on development and launch of joint research projects in Agricultural monitoring conducted through satellite and GIS technologies, in intelligent systems and technologies for monitoring, control and forecasting the conditions of ecological environment, developing new facilities and methods for environmental monitoring, introduction of new materials and technologies adopted in human life, animal keeping and environment protection.

The meeting resulted in signing a frame agreement on cooperation in science and research between Belgorod National Research University and China Agricultural University. The return visit of Chinese delegated to Belgorod is scheduled on October, 2014. In October, the partners from China plan to broaden the collaboration with BelSU and introduce new lines of cooperation between the universities.
