Svetlana Rastvortseva, professor of BelSU Institute of Economy World Economy Subdepartment, who has three daughters, got an acknowledgement from Belgorod branch of Mothers’ Union of Russia.
The Mothers’ Union of Russia’s First Open Forum, dedicated to the key issues of the institution of family, took place at Belgorod. Participants discussed problems of maternity funds, shortage of places at kindergartens, lack of infant schools and support of children sport.
There were representatives from various regions of Russia. Olga Panina, chairwoman of Russian Social Movement “Mothers’ Union of Russia”, told about her positive experience in introduction of amendments to legislative acts. For example, the family in Belgorod considers as multi-child one, if minimum three children are underage. So, when the elder one turns 18, the family would be stripped from all benefits. Legislators in Moscow successfully insisted that the family must be considered as multi-child one until the adulthood of the last one, so the social benefits would last longer.
“I often took part in various forums and conferences”, – said Svetlana Rastvortseva. –“I admire these young energetic women. Every single one of them is a mother of a large family, who loves and raises her children. It is wonderful, that there are people who can be a support in difficult situation, ggive a right advice and make the life a bit better for Russian families, future generations and women”.
