Scientists from Russia and near and far abroad countries met at BelSU on “New models of borderline and trans-regional cooperation for the development of Russian regions” forum to discuss important questions of borderline and trans-regional cooperation
The forum was organized by the Center of Social Initiatives and Institute of Cross-border Cooperation and Integration under the auspices of Association of European Border Regions and Russian Academy of Science. It united the scientists from CIS, European Union and Serbia on the grounds of BelSU. Aleksei Tootonov, the member of the Federal Council of Federal Assembly of Russian Federation and Elena Senatorova, deputy of State Duma, member of Committee for Public Support of citizens from South-East Ukraine took part in the discussion of topical issues of borderline cooperation and its optimal model.
Vice-rector for education and automatization Aleksandr Mamatov laid emphasis on the fact, that this discussion, which is especially important in the light of political situation in the neighborhood state, should bring action-oriented results.
«This question remains relevant. It is very important, to keep close connections on every level in this difficult conditions, and keep development of borderline cooperation” – he said.
