IT-projects of BelSU are awarded with blue ribbons
In September, BelSU successfully presented its high-tech projects at one of the oldest European Invention Salon – International Lepine Contest (Strasbourg, France). It was organized under the aegis of French Government and the support of A. I. F. F.
There were two BelSU projects in Russian complex exposition: the first, – “Portable digital camera for panoramic shooting” was awarded with golden medal and honorary diploma; the second – “Safety infrastructure of allocated information-computer resources in global network space” was awarded with bronze medal and honorary diploma (project manager: Prof. I. S. Constantinov, Doctor of Technical Sciences).
Both projects are the result of state funding, which were the part of the “Research and development in top-priority directions of Russian science and technology in 2014-2020”.
The first project is a result of a big-team work under the guidance of Prof. I. S. Constantinov, Doctor of Technical Sciences. The project was supported by small innovative enterprise “Electronnye Systemy BelGU”.
“Novelty of a project is provided by the solving of a new high-tech problem of real-time digital panoramic high-definition image registration based on scalable multicamera approach. Every camera includes integrated optical module with a camera lense, photosensitive sensor, control unit for exposure and diaphragm, and coordination interfaces. With this platform we can made cameras with various sizes and definitions of panoramic sector”, – said one of the project’s author, vice director for science and international relations of BelSU Institute of Engineering and Natural Science Sergei Lazarev.
The portable digital camera is udeful not only for panoramic shots, but also in robotics, special transport and video surveillance systems. Developers also consider this camera to be popular in drone industry.
