Professor of BelSU Culturology and Politology Subdepartment Natalia Brosova Dr. Phil. Has represented the university at the «Classical German idealism and phenomenology» international conference
“HORIZON. Studies in Phenomenology” Philosophic magazine had an international conference “Classical German idealism and phenomenology” with the support of Prague University Central European Institute of Philosophy and Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic Institute of Philosophy. Member of magazine’s Academic Board, Professor of BelSU Culturology and Politology Subdepartment Natalia Brosova Dr. Phil. took part in it among other scientists.
The conference took place at “ITAR-TASS” agency (Moscow). Its technical capabilities allow not only making professional footage of the whole event, but also setting a teleconference with one of the foreign spokespersons.
An organizing committee emphasized on the fact that strategic goal of the forum is an efficient dialogue between modern philosophic and, in the first place, phenomenological ideas with historical and philosophical tradition, a specific quintessence, represented by German classics (so called classic German idealism).
New vectors of discussion, traced by the conference, have brought to light key problem and theme moments in conceptual and theoretical parallels of German idealism and phenomenology development: an evolution from essentialism and subjectivism to the questions of existence and facticity of human being. These concepts, generated by Husserl and Heidegger, were popular throughout the 20th century, and keep its relevance in modern theoretical discussions. It was proved by enlivened discussions of reports at the conference and on the sidelines.
