Scientific tournament in Biological Research Centre

An annual “Bio-Tournament-2015” took place at RAS Scientific Centre of Puschino. The team of students fr om BelSU (Margarita Kononova, Alina Grinko, Ekaterina Zhydomorova, Evgeniy Seliverstov and Aleksandr Bylchenko) under the guidance of V. V. Adamova took part in it.

This is the second BioTournament in RAS, and more and more students want to participate. This year, students from Belgorod pitted themselves with teams from Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Chelyabinsk, Tula, Kazan and Ufa.

“The tournament is a team contest wh ere every team member can be a lecturer, opponent or reviewer. It allows not only to disclose one’s point of view, but also to hear a completely different solution and enter the discussion, In constructive polemic every decision was improved, and the complex, objective understanding of problem was forged. Our students successfully solved hard challenges of the contest”, – said vice director for international affairs and quality management of BelSU Institute of Engineering Technology and Natural Science Olga Lebedeva.

According to arrangers of the contest, young scientists are fascinated by the possibility of participation in solving of important scientific problems and introduce their own understanding of the problem and ways for solving it. It is also a unique opportunity to visit Puschino science labs, made new connections and contacts with their colleagues.
