The project of young scientist from BelSU was appreciated at IV “Otkrytye Innovazii” Forum

Russian Youth Nanoindustry Award is given to young reinventors and businessmen for the nanotechnological inventions introduced into production. It has been given for the 7^th time in 2015 at the opening of IV “Ontkrytye Innovazii” (Open Innovations) Forum.

This year the organizers have established special investment nominations: every winner in such nomination is able to sign an investment agreement for 1mln. of rubles and create a start-up with one of ROSNANO Group nanocenters.

Postgraduate of BelSU Institute of Medicine Pharmaceutical Technology Subdepartment Alelsandra Baskakova became one of the winners in investment nomination. She has created a production technology for “Aziklir” medicine for complex treatment of viral conjunctivitis.

“We added specially developed nanofiber into composition of the eye-drops. Technology of electric morphing allows to solve a low solubility problem. Active material dissolves gradually, providing an integrated effect: anti-viral, antibacterial and reparative. The patient can install drops for one time instead of three, which allows to save money and simplify the treatment process. Now, the medicine is prepared for clinical studies and licensing in Russia”, – she said.

Preclinical studies were performed at the partner research laboratory in London.
